New York Chamber Players Orchestra 12TH Annual Music Competition
PURPOSE: To provide recognition to talented young musicians and an opportunity to perform with the NewYorkChamber Players Orchestra & Maestro Giacomo Franci on its Young Artists Showcase Concert during their 2022-23 season. (date TBD). Top winners will perform one movement of a Concerto with Full Orchestra at a concert venue, and a solo concert piece at a New York venue TBD.
Fellowship Opportunities to perform in the Orchestra will be given to all other finalists.

ELIGIBILITY : There will be separate divisions for a) 8th grade and below and b) High School students graduating June 2022 or later. Eligible works may include Concertos (see repertoire below) additionally we will be accepting applicants for chamber ensembles of 2 or more players. The winning chamber groups will perform on the concert stage.
INSTRUMENTS : Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Vocals
REPERTOIRE : Music should be appropriate for a family concert. No contemporary or pop literature .A classical selection not to exceed 25 minutes of a major solo work for soloist and orchestra . Any one movement .
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS : CD/DVD’s/YouTube must be submitted to Carrie Feiner Enterprises, LLC @ 73 Fox Meadow Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583 received by Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Finalists will audition for a jury which the President is Maestro Giacomo Franci on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
