New York Chamber Players (NYCP) Founded in 2004 by Giacomo Franci, the NYCP gave their debut on May 8th 2004 at CAMI Concert Hall in New York City performing the Bach Piano Concerto No.1 in D min. Now the New York Chamber Players is a professional orchestra of 43 musicians which has performed in several Concert venues in NYC. On December 6th, 2017 the Orchestra performed for the first time at Carnegie Hall. Many prestigious soloists have joined the orchestra. Among them we remember the bandoneon player Juan Pablo Jofre Romarion. The Orchestra has had several prestigious conductors including Delio Cassetta, Alejandra Urrutia Borlando, Stefano Mazzoleni, Robert Canetti, Paolo Scibilia,Paolo Biancalana, and Alan Aurelia.

NYCP released 2 commercial CDs by C.R.S. Label. The first CD included a composition by the Artistic Director titled 3 Variations on a Theme by Michael Levy for Piano and Orchestra. The composition received rave reviews in the music magazine Society News. The second CD featuring various contemporary pieces got an outstanding review from the Society News Magazine declaring the NYCP as a ” top notch level Orchestra”. Giacomo Franci is very excited about having formed the New York Chamber Players Chorus. The Chorus is debuting on December 7 2025 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Williamsburg – Brooklyn with Bach Christmas Oratorio(Cantatas I, II, VI). The aim of the Artistic Director is to consolidate and develop one of the best orchestras in the world.

Giacomo Franci

Giacomo Franci is a Master Pianist and the Artistic Director of NYCP. He has been and will return as a guest conductor of great orchestras such as the Beijing Symphony and the Symphony Orchestra of Grosseto, The Virtuosi of Prague Orchestra. Maestro Franci is world renowned as the leading interpreter of the music of Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinsky: he published the complete piano works by both composers on Fonè Classics. This is a quote of the Stravinsky recording by Silk Road (China) “He has a vast knowledge of music. His high level of piano skill is incomparable”. He signed a contract for Sheva Collection Record Company doing the cycle of Beethoven Piano Sonatas(he is planning for 2026 the 8th CD). Franci is a regular soloist of some of the most prestigious international orchestras
