The Choral Arm of the New York Chamber Players Orchestra
Under the Artistic Direction of Giacomo Franci

We are thrilled to announce the formation of the NYCP Chorus — a new volunteer SATB ensemble in New York City, affiliated with the acclaimed New York Chamber Players Orchestra. This is your opportunity to join a high-caliber chorus from its inception, performing alongside a dynamic orchestra under the guidance of seasoned professionals.

📅 2026 Season Highlights

Two Concert Season Performances:

 – Holiday Concert December 13 2026
Featuring Bach’s Christmas Oratorio(Cantatas III, IV, V)

– Spring Concert May 2027
Rossini’s Missa Solemnis 

 

 

More performances may be scheduled as the chorus grows!


🎤 Auditions

Date: Sunday, July 26
Time: 7:00–9:30 PM
Location: Audition will be held in Manhattan – Address will be shared after you reserve your time slot
Openings: 40 skilled singers (10 per section – SATB)

Requirements:

  • Two contrasting pieces in different languages (one must be in German)

  • Bring your own sheet music

🎟 Expectations & Incentives

Singer Commitment

$100 Membership fee due by September 23 2026


🎟️ Guest Admissions

Each singer receives 4 guest admissions
Each admission has a $50 value
Guests may attend as complimentary admissions at the singer’s discretion
Any funds generated through a singer’s guests are fully credited back to that singer


💝 Donations

Each concert features a trackable donation page
Guests attending in support of a singer are required to include the singer’s name in the donation memo
All donations are tracked and attributed per singer


🏛️ Nonprofit Status

NYCP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law

Giacomo Franci is a Master Pianist and the Artistic Director of NYCP. He has been  and will return as a guest conductor of great orchestras such as the Beijing  Symphony the Czech National Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of Grosseto. Maestro Franci is world  renowned as the leading interpreter of the music of Aaron Copland and Igor  Stravinsky: he published the premiere of the complete piano works by both composers on Fonè  Classics. This is a quote of the Stravinsky recording by Silk Road (China) “He has a  vast knowledge of music. His high level of piano skill is incomparable”. Recently  he signed a contract for Sheva Collection Record Company starting the cycle of  Beethoven Piano Works. Franci is a regular soloist of some of the most prestigious  international orchestras. He is conducting the New York Chamber Players Orchestra regularly at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and soon he will sign a contract to conduct the NYCP Orchestra for a series of commercial recordings under the Sheva Collection Record Label 

 

Markus Kaitila Pianist, has appeared asa soloist with Joutseno Art Summer, Wratislava, and Queens College Chamber Orchestras, and One World and New Amsterdam Symphonies under conductors such as Tong Chen and Charles Neidich. He won Bronze Prize in the second WPTA Finland International Piano Competition 2020 and First Prize at the Kohler-Osbahr piano competition (Duisburg). Markus has performed in the Wiener Saal (Salzburg), Musica Mundi Festival(Belgium), Klavier Festival Ruhr, and New York’s Mannes, Merkin and Carnegie Halls. He has completed residencies at Music Academy of the Westand the Banff Centre, and studied at the Sibelius Academy with Hui-Ying Liu- Tawaststjerna, Aaron Copland School of Music with Nina Lelchuk, NYU Steinhardt with Eteri Andjaparidze,and The Hartt School with Jose Ramos Santana
