New York Chamber Players

NYCPGroup_shotThe founder, pianist and conductor of New York Chamber Players Giacomo Franci has been producing concerts since 1998. His own New York City debut was in Carnegie Recital Hall. In 2003 , he began producing chamber artists at CAMI Hall on West 57th Street in New York City.

The winner of International Piano Competition, Roberto Prosseda , was in this first series of concerts.Mr.Prosseda had recently performed with La Scala Orchestra prior to Maestro Franci’s concert in New York. This was such a success that the series continued presenting professional artists in chamber ensembles performing classical repertoire .

Thus began the debut of the New York Chamber Players at CAMI Concert Hall in New York City on May 2004 performing the Bach Piano Concerto in d min.   Now the New York Chamber Players is a Professional Orchestra of 37 pieces. The Orchestra has performed in several New York Concert halls such as:CAMI Concert Hall, Liederkranz Club Concert Hall, Church of St.Paul & St.Andrew,MerkinConcertHall,Christ and St.Stephen Church. Many prestigious soloists have joined the orchestra, among them we remember the great bandoneon player Juan Pablo Jofre Romarion. The Orchestra has had several prestigious guest conductors such as: Alejandra Urrutia Borlando, Stefano Mazzoleni, Delio Cassetta, Robert Canetti, Paolo Biancalana, and Alan Aurelia .

For the season 2010 -11 the Orchestra has programmed the first tour, which will start from Washington and will cover some of the major East Coast cities. The musical works presented span a range from the classical, romantic and impressionist movements of music compositions by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, Barber and Copland to the contemporary compositions of Bolcom, Menotti, Musto, Franci, Levy and Tcimpidis.

The aim of the Artistic Director Giacomo Franci is to consolidate and develop one of the best chamber orchestras in the world.
